The great software to learn music!A totally free program that allows you to focus on specific skills and exercises, on both theory and aural training.
The different activities can be customized to meet your needs. LenMus Phonascus allows you to work at your own pace, providing interactive feedback until mastery of each concept is achieved.

Platforms supportedLenMus is a cross-platform project developed in C++, built on the wxWidgets library. This open the possibility to launch releases for different platforms (all Linux variants, Mac OS X, and Windows) without nearly no porting costs.
Only the Windows NT/2000/XP/Vista version is available. We have tested it under
Windows XP, but we assume it will run without problems
in any other modern version of Windows. It has been reported to run ok
in Vista. Please, let us know if you have problems with your Windows version. Thank you.
The LenMus version for older Windows versions (Windows 95/98/Me) is no longer available.
We are currently testing the LenMus Phonascus version for Linux. It compiles and works, but we have no experience in Linux and learning autotools to prepare a distribution package will take us more time than expected. However, you can run the windows version of LenMus under Linux using Wine or CrossOver Linux. See the installation page for more details.
LenMus code is ready to be compiled and built for Mac OS X. But we do
not have software/hardware to do the porting.
If you would like to contribute by preparing and testing this release
you are welcome. Please,
contact us. Thank you.
