Technically oriented contributors

Would you like to help? Great! Help to develop new features or improve the program is always welcome!

LenMus is a cross-platform project developed in C++, built on the wxWidgets library. Although LenMus is a music related program it's not required to be an expert musician to contribute. Knowledge of wxWindows is not a pre-requisite as it can be learned very quickly. It is particularly easy if you have used MFC (Microsoft Foundation Classes) due to its similarity with this programming resource.

The only very important prerequisites to collaborate are time and commitment. So, if you are a developer, you know the C++ language, you are interested in the project and you have at least 3-4 hours a week to work on the project, you are welcome.

Go ahead!

If you are sure you will work on the project and finish the chosen task, then follow these steps:

1. Intellectual property license

LenMus is not a commercial project and I'm committed to free software. I don't mind if you join the project or not. But if you decide to collaborate I would like to know that I can still control my project and that if I decide to move to any future GPL 12.7 license I will be able to do it without any trouble. Therefore, in order to clarify the intellectual property license granted with contributions from any person or entity, to protect the rights of contributors and users, and to preserve the future freedom and the integrity of the project, I need to have a Contributor Agreement that has been signed by each contributor. Please, read about the contributor agreement, download and sign it, and mail it to me. Without having received your signed agreement I can not use your submissions. Thank you.

2. Join the developers list

There is a mailing list in SourceForge.net intended for communication between contributors. Please join the list using this link and post a short message introducing yourself and describing what you are going to do. Welcome!.

But please don't ask me for suggestions about things to do: you should know what you would like to do!

Thank you in advance for your help!
